" Wooden boats in Port Townsend - this is one of the very best! The 1913 schooner Adventuress makes its home here, wintering just down the dock from our own boat, Sea Witch. In summer, the big boat runs in and out of the Union Wharf dock in downtown. Few artists ever see her graceful stern from this angle.
I feel a great pride in having some slight involvement with this boat and its crew. She provides schooling and education for thousands of kids and adults around Puget Sound - and I feel like I'm one of those. To steer this great old boat through a tack is like stepping back in history.
