USDA Forest Service murals The USDA Forest Service has commissioned many installations, wayside panels and other publications from us. Here are a few of the best. Three murals together as one showing the pinyon pine forests on the left, bristlecone pine forest center, then the alpine above it all on the right. Installed in the new visitor center at the Schulman Grove, east of Bishop, CA. Me and the alpine section of the mural showing White Mountain, one of the tallest peaks in the US. Installation progress – this is an all-green building with solar electricity. Concept sketch Detailed view of the center section, oldest trees on the planet. Interpretive panels below the murals are sketchbooks instead of typical text panels. This tied the paintings together with the murals in a much more artist way. Eifert art was used on other panels in this installation. Example of line art and color watercolor wash work. Some other USDA Forest Service murals Taylor Creek is at the south end of Lake Tahoe, just where the creek enters the lake. Installation included a wayside panel, posters and jigsaw puzzles that contributed greatly to the Interpretive Association’s revenue. Whitebark Pines in Peril – commissioned by the Crater Lake Institute but used in many ways by the Forest Service to explain the threats to whitebark pines. Posters, puzzles, flyers and the cover of a special issue of American Forests magazine are just some of the uses for this painting.
